Reiki and Meditation - the Concentration Booster for Students

Reiki and Meditation - the Concentration Booster for Students

Young people aged between 13 and 16 are particularly exposed to enormous pressure to perform, especially here in Switzerland. The last three school years prepare young people for the transition into working life or into grammar school. In addition to the school curriculum, ground breaking decisions are already made at a young age as to which career and life path the young person should pursue.

Young people deal with this pressure differently, rebellion may become even more pronounced, others struggle with self-doubt and are simply overwhelmed by the pace.

The greatest challenge for students and children when it comes to performing at school and in their studies, is related to concentration.

A person that is unable to focus on the material that must assimilate, is because their attention wanders, their body cannot rest, and all of this is connected to their problem to concentrate.

In the west, the term concentration is often defined as directing the thought/focus on an idea or object. In the east, concentration is the perfect absorption state, it is not the only focus of thought, but conversely, it is the arrest of all the mental processes that interfere with learning. This is the concept that Reiki manages and learns to acquire through therapies and principles.

Often it is the mental hyperactivity that prevents us from learning. Both Reiki, by harmonizing universal vital energy, and Meditation help us calm the mind, relax in the body and calm emotions. These are conditions necessary to achieve full capacity to learn.

The state of inner peace that we instinctively use to learn is something we also can transform into the common state of our lives.

When the Chakras are balanced, the energies flow without blockages, we look at life without fear, and a state of internal and external calm is produced, source of joy, peace, kindness, and acceptance.

Reiki and Meditation facilitates peace and quiet which is a natural consequence of a vital energy in harmony and balance, fundamental conditions for improving study habits. It is advisable to get Reiki therapy or take a Meditation to calm the mind before important professional obligations.

At the same time neither Reiki nor Meditation require much time. Once you have learned to practice these methods, 5-15 minutes can be enough to get the peace of mind that you need as a student.

Get inner peace within 2 minutes - With the following exercise you can get into a rest within 2 minutes. Tense? Just try it out:

  • Find a quiet place where you can be undisturbed for the next 2 minutes. Please switch off your mobile phone.
  • Sit or lie down and make yourself comfortable
  • Close your eyes and take a few breaths and try to breathe in and out deep into your stomach.
  • For the next 10 breaths you inhale for 5 seconds, hold your breath for 2 seconds and exhale for 7 seconds. As you exhale, try to imagine how you exhale the air from your feet to your body to your head.
  • Breathe normally again and open your eyes.

With this simple exercise you take speed, calm down and promote calmness and concentration. With Reiki treatments or Meditation, you can promote inner peace, calmness and concentration at the same time.
